I harvested my ginger from small pots, and this is my first time growing them. I can’t remember exactly how long it took for the plants to grow rhizomes, but I think they were ready for harvest. I just eyeballed it and guessed. I’m happy with the results considering it’s my first try

I also bought two grafted lemon plants from a vendor who regularly comes down our street. He’s my go-to for gardening supplies like soil, fertilizer, seedlings, and other plants. These grafted lemons came with budding fruits, and after a few months, one of them grew this dull yellow fruit. I’m not sure what caused this. From watching gardening channels, I learned that buying grafted plants is better than starting from seeds because grafted ones produce fruit faster and are identical to the parent plant in quality and type. Plants grown from seeds may not produce fruit that is the same as the parent, and sometimes the quality is unpredictable.

I also planted two varieties of eggplants from seed packets I got at the supermarket. They’re doing well and showing great promise. Each plant has one fruit already, and I’m excited to see how they grow. It feels rewarding to see these plants thrive in my small garden!
