Natural and Easy Homemade Ant Killer: 3 ingredients.

IMAG2739.jpgThis is my first post on Steemit and I'm glad to be here.

As so many of my fellow agorists/anarchists/voluntaryrists encourage, real change for the better starts within, to heal one's self, and then that expands a little bit to your space. The best thing to do in whatever space you have to work with is to grow your own food. Do it. It's a simple and fast way to pure empowerment. I feel liberated every time I plant a seed in the dirt. I'm not sure where I'm going to go with my Steemit account, so thought I'd start by sharing some information that could be valuable that I can personally testify to.

First of all, let's cut to the chase: Here's the recipe. Take a gallon of water and add to it 1.5 liquid ounces of orange oil and then add 3 liquid ounces of Dawn liquid soap. That's it. I suggest filling up the jug first, leaving just enough space for the oil and the Dawn. If you do it vice versa, there will be an explosion of foaming up and you'll have to wait for it to settle down before pouring more water in.

I got some Natures Wisdom orange oil at my local gardener's store. (Natural and biodegradable! Whoo hoo!) I encourage you all of course to buy local. Always try to support small family run businesses if you can, even if you have to pay a bit more. I always try my best to NOT give my fake fiat dollars to the major corporations. It cost me $21.95 for a quart (0.95L), but it's lasted for what seems like forever.

I live in East Texas, so fire ants are a big problem for gardeners. I usually pour it very slowly over a mound and I also put it in a spray bottle for any ants that make their way into the house from time to time. The key is to make sure they get wet. I found this information on the internet, it's no secret. However, there are many many natural fire ant killer concoctions out there. This one has the fewest ingredients, is the easiest, and I can testify that it works brilliantly. No chemicals. My seven year old son loves to spray them and I don't have to worry about his exposure to it.

I hope this information helps and if you find it useful, I'd appreciate a vote of confidence. Remember: grow your own, teach your own, avoid GMOs, eat organic, avoid vaccines, avoid using fiat dollars, love yourself, heal yourself, and don't let the fear overtake you. Fear actually doesn't exist, it's nothing more than the absence of love. Thanks.

Welcome to STEEMIT. Thank you for sharing your solution. My homestead struggles especially around the dog's water dish outdoors. Upvoted and now following you.

Thanks- let me know if you try this mix and how it does.

Will have to wait until next season, as we are now going into Fall and are close to frost so the ants have mostly gone down into the ground now. But Next year. Thanks

Nice post. If I can suggest, use some pictures, to make your post more colorful.

Thanks- I'll do just that.

Thanks for posting! I'm definitely going to try this.
