How I fell in love with growing plants

Dear plant lovers and urban jungle explorers,

this is a love story between me and the plant culture.

When I used to live at my parents' house I never felt anything for these green somethings. My mom had to care for all the plants I had in my room. Otherwise they would have died quickly. Shame on me!

Accidentally I did an internship in a garden center when I was 13 years old. It was a very tough experience and I was sure that this job would never be an option for me.
The boss gave me a plant on my last day. He said that it was an unalienable one because it was from experimental laboratory and actually not okay to give it away.
From that day on my mom had another plant to carry for.
(By the way – if any of you knows the name of this plant pleaaase tell me!)

When I moved out 2 years ago I took this plant with me. And I felt my apartment kind of empty without any greens. So I cut off a branch of this mysterious plant and put it in water. And after a short time it got a root.
This felt so magical, so pure. I was able to grow new life over and over. Just with one plant.

So I bought potting soil, flowerpots and a cute little greenhouse and whatever you need to care for your urban junge. My apartment started to look greener and greener.
