Fasting today. Maybe tomorrow too. It gets to a point where eating is just not supplying energy. And the tendency is to try to eat more to get energy. But the more I eat the more I keep eating and still no energy.
Fasting is just the opposite. The less I eat the more energy I have. Weird but true. and the less I eat the less I want to eat. It's like my system shuts down and runs on reserves.
It actually takes a lot of energy to digest. The energy is coming from reserves stored up in the cells.. No digesting involved.
Feels great.
It's a little rough up until early afternoon. Seems like my system hasn't figured it out yet that there is no food coming in and it needs to switch to reserves.
Three days would be great.
I am drinking water and eating some watermelon from the garden. The melons are different from commercially grown melons. They are heirloom variety. Round with giant seeds and whitish pink inside. Not red. But really nice. And no chemicals. Using the rinds for sweet pickling. Not for eating now but for after the fast.
I like Dr. Berg's videos. He is clear. His presentations are researched and well thought-out.
