Hops are nearly unstoppable. I got a couple roots from my mother and planted them at my house to hide an ugly old chain link fence the neighbors have between our yards. The dirt is dry and doesn't get much water. I worked out of town at the time and had no one to take care of anything like flowerbeds. Those things grew like crazy and completely filled the fence with hops after only being there a couple years. Mom and Dad had theirs on their old TV Antenna pole. It was at least 20 feet and filled with hops every year. They are a hardy, fast growing plant.
It's nice you have other uses for them. I was strictly using them decoratively. Thanks for another great post.
