This is a picture from my garden a couple of years back. For a few years now, the garden has been a joint endeavor between myself and a very green-thumbed friend (along with the help of others). It's hard for me to really convey just how satisfying it is to grow your own food. Even if you only have enough space to do a couple of planters, give it a go—it's not all that difficult, and homegrown ingredients taste that much better. Besides, there's something special about spending time in the garden, even when there isn't much work to be done.
It's one of my favorite places to go catch my breath, have a beer , and clear my head.
Nice... especially those squash! I have just enough room for one good row here, about 40 feet long. What I could do with a garden that size. Well, probably pretty much what you did. Where is this? Looks very much like the land around here in NC.
