I don't think it's too late to order seeds from the website of a seed catalog. They usually ship the seeds pretty quickly.
I know the tomato seed selection from the local stores doesn't include very many choices for paste type tomatoes. This year, I found 3 types from the big seed displays. I bought the Roma seeds and the Big Mama hybrid seed that I bought, and San Marzano seeds which I didn't buy because they don't usually do that well for me.
