Indoor gardening in Colorado, not just Marijuana

in #gardening7 years ago

Marijuana is legal in Colorado, but it is expensive and highly taxed (%25). The benefits are less or no people in jail for smoking or growing small amounts. Another benefit that the pot industry provides the good people of Colorado are grow shops! These hydroponic and indoor growing supply companies have really brought down the price of LED grow lamps and indoor grow techniques. I am currently using some of this technology to grow basil micro greens.image.jpg
These basil Michael greens are growing in a fertilizer solution and RockWool. We have harvested a few handfuls for our Lasagna and other pasta dishes.image.jpg Micro lights have also kept my lemon tree alive over the cold Colorado winter.image.jpg. Here are some of my other indoor grow plants 🌱! image.jpg
As much as I want to grow Marijuana my wife and kids still think it’s a bad idea. But I’m going to use that technology to help my garden until next spring!

If you can do it so do It. Its a delicious taste when you produces your own cannabis

Another added benefit of growing indoor in Colorado is when the plants 🌱 clean the air, release Oxygen, and give off Humidity. For those that don’t know the humidity in Colorado is typically 20 percent. My house plants give off about 1 gallon of water per day into the air, this helps breathing in the dry Denver air !
