Your carrots did pretty well in the containers considering how long they've been growing. My container carrots are still a bit small, but they are continuing to grow. I think the dirt in the containers could be better quality than what it is, but I used what I had at the time.
It's possible that your buckets work better for the carrots than my pots do, the sides of the bucket are a lot more vertical, so there's more room for dirt in the bottom of the container.

I would love to see your pot's. I really do not think it is entirely necessary for a bucket of soil this deep but it is an experiment. Perhaps I could have waited a little longer for them to grow but I wanted to use the guidelines on the seed packet as part of the experiment. Thanks
