There were a dozen butterflys on the flowers, but they scattered, when I approached.
Caught two mid-flight in this snapshot

Harvest

Harvest season is coming to an end this year.
I harvested plenty, but was too busy to document it all in pictures.
Pretty much everything did well this year, thanks to the rain.
Kilos of beans, raddishes, beets...

German Hauszwetschge - I don't know how special this plum is, but it could be local thing...

Plums

Surprisingly, the plum trees performed well this year.
Usually, they have a disease and the fruit is all bad.
This year, the branches almost snapped off the tree, because they were loaded.

I don't really like the plums, but I got someone, who wants them.

Nothing too unusual - had plenty of deformed potatos, but had to take a snapshot of this one.

Potato

Still harvesting potatos.
I don't think I ever harvested this many.
Had to throw a lot of them out, due to rot, but the yield is still impressive.

The End

No real conclusion to this post...
Just felt like sharing the pictures, a few words, some impressions from today...

Nice plum haul! Even though I'm not a big fan of plums, it's great that you're getting extra rain and don't have to stress as much about irrigation. I constantly have to worry about it since we don't really get much rain here in Southern California.

The garden is in a remote location. I have no access to irrigation there.
If it gets really bad, I ask a farmer to fill up a tank for me, but that is only enough for high value veggies.

The last years, we had almost no rain during summer. It got so bad, the forrest closeby died. 100 year-old tress had to be cut. It was a disaster.

This summer was the first in almost a decade, that I did not have to worry about too little rain - instead, this year we had 2 extreme events, that almost washed the garden down the hill.

I could have easily grown twice as much as I did, but I never expected such a humid summer.

You must have got over it pretty quick since our conversation ended so abruptly.

Garden looks good 👍

I don't know what you mean tbh... got over what?

I wrote my piece and you wrote yours...
Were there open questions?

No questions at all, only thought provocation...
