I Found This Lizard Stuck In My Bucket

My bucket was under my fig tree and water was in it, cause of the last rain. Well some how this lizard found himself trapped in the bucket with water in it.

Good thing there wasn't too much water in the bucket or the lizard would drown.

Well, I'm glad the lizard is still alive. So what I did was to lay the bucket on it's side as I didn't want to pick it up with my hands.

I figured that if the bucket was on it's side then the lizard can just walk out of it.

Well, I don't know if the lizard was in shock or what, but it didn't move when I laid the bucket on it's side. It still seemed alive, but didn't move.

This is a picture of the bucket on it's side and all the lizard had to do was to walk out. It just stood still for a long time.

Maybe it needed some heat since it was in that water for awhile. I remember that lizards are cold blooded and the water it was in made it even colder.

It reminds me of the very large crocodiles that lay in the sun to warm it self up. Maybe the lizard needed the sun also, but I didn't bring it to the sun. I figured it would do it on it's own.

Did you notice the tail? This lizard lost part of it's tail. Maybe my cat tried to catch it and just got the tail.

I remember one time that I seen a lizard and another cat I used to have many years ago tried to catch a lizard and the tail was left.

I was looking at this tail that was separated from it's lizard was still moving around. It was kind of weird to me as I didn't see things like that before.

Well, at least lizards can grow back a tail that it lost. I read that a lizard without a tail will have a hard time mating cause it's potential partner won't want to mate with a tailless lizard.

So hopefully this lizard can grow it's tail back before it's mating season.

I would rather my cat try to catch mice and rats. I like the lizards cause they eat bugs. I have seen my cat with a lizard in her mouth before.

I see lizards in my yard every now and then, but lately I have seen four lizards recently.

I actually wanted to take a picture of one a day or two ago, but it moved to fast for me to capture a picture.

So back to the lizard in the bucket, I am thinking now that the cold water that he had been in got him to go into some kind of hibernation. Lizards will do that when it gets too cold.

So I just read that lizards can be very good for your garden eating all those bugs that you want to get rid of in your garden.

So I am glad I have lizards in the garden.

Oh, by the way I did go back and check the bucket on it's side today and the lizard is no longer there. Good, I hope it eats a lot of bugs.

Amazing post
Thanks you

You have a minor grammatical mistake in the following sentence:

I figured it would do it on it's own.
It should be its own instead of it's own.
