Some of the advantages of gaming glasses are listed below: • The amber tins of the lens increases the contrast of the images on your screen, making things look sharper. • The visuals on the screen become bigger, which makes things such as text easier to read. • The anti-reflective construction protects your eyes from overexposure to unnatural light coming from the screen. This in turn helps to prevent headaches and eyestrain.
One of the biggest disadvantage of gaming glasses has to do with the price. A top end pair can cost anywhere from around $70 to $200, and sometimes much more. Now at these prices, you may be turned off from buying one, but there is a solution to this problem. It is possible to buy just a normal pair of anti-glare glasses with polarized, amber lens, UV protection, and night-vision. It is quite easy to find an unbranded one like the one I have, showed in the picture above, for no more than $10. I have a more expensive pair, which I do not use that often, since I find them a lot less comfortable to wear. I can tell you that my pair for under $10, works just as well. For a pair of glasses costing so little, yet work so well, it is a no-brainer in purchasing one of your own. While wearing them, I can play games for longer periods of time without any headaches or my eyes straining and becoming red. I also get a much better experience when gaming at nights, since the light from my screen used to be hard on the eyes. I not only use them for gaming but I also use them while on the computer, watching TV at nights, and for night driving. Now isn’t all that great for just under $10? So there is no excuse for not owning a pair, go buy one now. It will really make a big difference.
