Mount & Blade: Warband
Mount & Blade: Warband is an action video game with light first and third-person role-playing and strategy touches for PCs, and is an expansion of Mount And Blade. The game was developed by TaleWorlds Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive in 2010, which adds features and enhancements to the original game, for example:
- We can create our own Kingdom.
- A new faction.
- We'll see new characters in the old factions.
- We can marry a nobleman's daughter or sister.
Remembering those moments at the beginning when we didn't know how to do anything in the game, finding small challenges and missions, assaulting small bands of bandits or pirates or trading small things like beer or food, trying not to kill our soldiers (who were extremely weak as volunteers and could literally be killed easily), in order to obtain gold to be able to buy supplies and pay our soldiers, thinking about a future to become leader of a great band of mercenaries, looter, vassal of a kingdom, to wait to gain enough renown to found our own kingdom by conquering a castle or city, among others.
History
We will arrive at an unknown continent with little information about its ancient history, the only characters whose lives are described in some detail are the kings, suitors and heroes. However, it is understood that the factions have been at war for a long time and that the player is the only person with any chance of bringing some peace. Some heroes tell legends of the ancient Empire of Caraldia, it is said that the first Nordics who arrived in Calradia were hired to take care of the ships of the Old Empire and that the Empire used all those represented in it, but that the leaders of the different zones that make up the 6 current kingdoms ended up destroying the empire, as Praven was the largest city under the Empire and some other legends although, in general, very little of its current history is revealed and it is known that there are other kingdoms, counties or cities outside Caraldia as Geroia or Balion.
Our destiny in these lands will be to save Caraldia from herself, from her kings and nobles who are fighting each other for claims on the whole continent, since as I mentioned before we are the only ones capable of bringing peace and ending the conflicts of Caraldia, whether it be by partnering with the nobles of the kingdoms through improving the relationship and then conquering the kingdom with their support, hiring a gigantic army of the best troops from each kingdom and invading all the kingdoms, and a host of other ways that can be created by ourselves during the game.
Playability
The game will start with us arriving in Caraldia, a continent unknown to our character, which we arrived at for reasons that we can choose at the beginning of the game, thirst for power, revenge, desire to explore this continent, we can not return to our home, among others. Throughout the game talking to characters, nobles or kings will give us some missions that can improve our relationship with them, from rescuing noble prisoners, killing deserters, rebels, merchants, kidnapping noble enemies, escorting caravans, saving villages from bandits, and many others that we will discover throughout the game.
Mount & Blade: Warband, also brings some DLCs such as the Viking Conquest that sets us in the Dark Ages of England dominated by the Vikings and the Napoleonic Wars, which is based on the time of the Napoleonic Wars and includes firearms and uniforms from the time of the game and is exclusive to the multiplayer, and a number of mods created by the community as the Europe 1200, A World of Ice and Fire, Middle World, The Hundred Years War, Anno Domini, Brytenwalda, Hispania 1200, among others.
In conclusion it is a pretty good game, of course it has its difficulties at first, but after a while we will get used to the way of life of Caraldia, although the game is more than 8 years old it gives a lot of training hours, and adding the mods even more, although it has some bugs, it is worth trying it out and still has open its multiplayer where its community is big and it allows up to 200 people or more per room, so I recommend trying it if you haven't already done it.

Really amazing game! I always poke fun at a friend of mine who has yet to beat it as he just can't conquer or win another way.
I can't wait for bannerlords to come out!
