Indie Game Spotlight: Subnautica

After crash landing on an alien ocean planet you must leave your life pod to find food, water, and other necessities to survive. You learn very quickly many of the creatures on this strange world are as hostile as they are beautiful. As you scavenge for food you find resources you use to construct a small underwater base. In your base you store your resources, refill oxygen, start and underwater garden, and more. As you continue you looking for a way off the planet you find something is off. You still don't know why you crashed, and what are all these mysterious structures doing here?

Subnautica is a gorgeous underwater adventure, survival, and exploration game that takes place on an alien planet. You must scavenge for resources, fend off terrifying sea creatures, and build up your base as you explore this exciting underwater world. Night is never a friend as the most dangerous creatures come out, but also some of the most beautiful. The game has a very relaxing atmosphere and great sound design.

Subnautica is currently in early access on steam and has an overall 'very positive' rating. It is being created on the Unity engine by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. This is their fourth game with all previous releases of theirs being very well received.
