Hello Steemit!
Hope you're all having an awesome day today. I decided to do another game review for this post.
The game I chose to review this time is one of the latest additions to my game library. The game is:
Battlefield 1 is the latest release of the Battlefield series and was developed by DICE.
I had been thinking of getting the game since it was released after I played the open beta for a week. But due to not being able to afford it at the time I had to wait. #patientgamers
Finally the game had dropped to an affordable price on the huge gaming marketplace G2A so I decided to get it.
A little backstory about my gaming. I've always been the type to want to try all the different games and I enjoy playing both FPS's (First-person Shooters) and RPG's (Role-playing games). The ones I've played the most are Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, Grand Theft Auto 5 (Because i love the modding scene in the GTA series and the stories), and of course Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Skyrim (Also here I love the modding scene). I've been thinking about making a post concerning modding overall and in various games. So that might come up in the near future :)
I've played Counter-Strike the most out of all my games and compared to Battlefield it's completely different game-play wise. So when I first tried out the older version Battlefield 4, I had a hard time getting in to the game play. I mean in Counter-Strike you only have to worry about the bomb-sites and 5 other enemies. In battlefield though it can be completely different with game modes with up to 64 players and map sizes a lot bigger than in Counter-Strike. I did get used to it after a while and actually started getting a lot of "killstreaks" and just overall good games.
Back to Battlefield 1, after I started installing the game I was really excited about starting to play. It's a huge game so it took a while to install. The game was playable after being installed 29% so luckily that was all I had to wait for. When the 29% was finished I could launch the game and finally start playing. It was perfect timing too. The evening had just begun and I had the whole night in front of me to play(this was in the weekend).
The introduction to the game was awesome. The first campaign mission starts you off in Forest Washington (1899-1918) and it is disclosed that you are not expected to survive. You are out on the frontlines and you immediately realize how insane WW1 must have been. Just the whole scenario when you're there with your mates and enemies are running at you from every direction. I guess that's how a lot of wars are but still. You get to play here until you are killed by a bomb blast. Then the game tells you what the soldiers name was that you were playing and how long he lived. I actually thought it was pretty cool how it did that because it really made you think that people actually just died like ants on those frontlines but they all still were people, they had names and families.
This is what it looks like during the first mission:
After that it continues on with different soldiers advancing on the battlefield. During this you get to try out various weapons and equipment. I played until I had died a few times and noticed that the game had finally finished loading. It was time for some multiplayer action. I decided to start trying out Domination mode first since I was most familiar with that one. Even though there was a new mode in this game called "Operations", this meant it was set up like a big war played on different servers but still connected with score etc.
I started off getting some really lucky kills in my first game so I immediately got in "my mode" so it was going pretty nice. I've played for hours now and am going to continue playing this game. The graphics are beautiful and the game overall is really big and has a lot to offer. From small, fast-paced games to big and long war games.
There is a huge variety of weapons and equipment and also a lot of different maps and game modes. The only thing I would hope to see in future Battlefield games is some kind of a ranking system as they have in games like Counter-Strike. The whole ELO ranking system for example. That would be awesome and i would really enjoy that.
Here you can see a couple of the different weapons there are too choose from in the game:
On another note, another great improvement to the game I noticed was that you could actually start games from the in-game menu now. Search for servers, check profiles etc. Finally the whole "battlelog" thing was gone. The Battlelog meant you launched the game directly from the browser. Where you would also do all the other multiplayer things like customizing profiles and searching for servers. I thought that was really unnecessary.
So that's pretty much it for my review. I recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooters and who also wants to see how war was during the first world war. Because it was insane and so bad but yet so epic. The graphics as said earlier are beautiful. I still just stop in the game randomly to look at something because it's so well done and perfect.
I hope you enjoyed reading my review and please let me know what you thought in the comments. I have been thinking of making gameplay videos as well and might do so in the future. Let me know hwat you would think about that!
Have a good rest of the day everyone and enjoy the sunny weather :)
Peace out, Strawhat

Thanks man, I will check it out! Thank you for reading.
No Problem!
Great game.
Best!
Yeah, I've also played CS a lot. After I tried BF1, it sure is action packed. Nice review man :)
Thanks man :) yea it really is
BF1 is a pretty good game. However, it would be better to offer more types of weapons and maps for all the players. I understand that the choices of weapons are less because of the historical background of BF1. The lack of diversified weapons could really weaken its attraction to players in long term although there will be more DLCs.
Yeah that's true about the limits. Although I hate the whole DLC for 30€ three times a year thing. I have high hopes for the new Call of Duty coming out in November. WW2 should have a little more variety to offer :D
I did enjoy COD in the old days when people couldn't double jump and fly around. I am looking forward to the new COD too :)
Fun review dude! will follow. I do video review too. Its funny because I just bough BF1 yesterday since i could finally afford it. I am looking forward to reviewing it too.
