Hello everyone! Today we are here to bring you some news about the SteemGC and our ongoing curation campaign. As some of you might have noticed the curation has been a bit slow lately and we want to change that as fast as possible. When we first launched the campaign we had two curators that were eager to look for quality gaming content on the platform and support all the great gamers we have here. Unfortunately as some time passed and things changed, they were unable to stay with us. It has since been a bit slow while we have been looking for new users that would fit the role.
We are happy to announce that we have a new curator now. We want to welcome Mr. Spacely to the team! If you don't know him by now make sure to check him out. You can find him here or on one of his awesome streams over on DLive.
This means that from now on the curation campaign will continue with the same rules as before and you can continue using the post-promotion channels in the SteemGC Discord server for this purpose. If you are unsure about the rules for curation they are as follows:
-Streams
The SteemGC logo on stream thumbnails
The tag ‘steemgc’
Must be a follower of @steemgc
-Posts
The SteemGC logo on post thumbnails or in the footer of the post
The tag ‘steemgc’
Must be a follower of @steemgc
Must be original content
Quality content, will be reviewed by the SteemGC curators, who have strict guidelines.
There are also some special benefits if you reach certain levels in the server. More info on this can be found in the server. If you have more questions regarding the curation, feel free to ask any of the team members in the server who will be happy to assist you!
These are not the only news we have today. As some of you may know we have started a weekly giveaway on the server and the first winner will be decided today. The prize will vary but for the first one we have 5 SBD for a lucky SteemGC member! The only requirement to be able to participate is that you have reached level 1 in the server.
The first winner will be decided today at 5:00 PM UTC and will be announced in the SteemGC Discord server. Good luck to all the participants of this weeks giveaway!
Last but not least. We were planning a tournament in The Darwin Project a while back but it was unfortunately cancelled due to lack of participants. We started planning our next tournament shortly after but decided to postpone it all due to the heatwave and people not really playing as much during that time. We will however be organizing a tournament again soon for those that are interested. More on this will be announced here on Steemit and on the SteemGC Discord server so stay tuned for that.

We want to thank all of the members who have made this community one of the greatest gaming communities on the platform. Thank you all for your support and awesomeness!
Steem on gamers!
-The SteemGC Team
So I don’t really do streams but I sometimes make gaming news posts or posts about my thoughts of what I’ve been playing...does that qualify me to join and post with the community logo and what not?

Absolutely all gaming content is welcome :) Just remember to tag 'steemgc' and add the logo to the footer of the post.
Yes, as @xr-hammergaming said! We try to curate as much gaming content as possible and sometimes even if they don't use the tags and logo. As long as it's good and original content we want to support all gamers and gaming content creators.
Awesome! Thank you both for the insight. Consider me on board :)

Great work, finally ^^
Glad to hear the community is going to be more active. I have noticed it being a little quiet :) You guys do a great job and I'm happy to be part of the community.
We will move forward with full speed from now on. Thanks and we are glad to have you!
Happy to hear that! :)
Hey, maybe this is the time to finally get a hold of this community and how it works o:
I've been a lurker on the server but I've never understood how things quite worked there.
This is probably a good time then! We will start organizing more and more events and other fun stuff from now on. I think the best way is just to introduce yourself in the server or even just say hello! The community is very welcoming and I am sure you would fit right in.
Thank you! I'll definitely try it out today o/:
Just need to think how to explore this plate form to new people ,old one is already using the same and will do the same in future .
Congratulations @steemgc! You have completed the following achievement on Steemit and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :

I think I finally found myself a home. I love the COD games so anybody who loves that can tune to my DLive for some game play. See you all in the Discord server.
I've become interested in doing some streams on DTube and I just came across the Steem Gaming Community. I'm interested in using the logo in thumbnails I make (and possibly as an overlay graphic in the streams) and I was wondering if there was any kind of official place to download the images instead of hacking up other things I see with it.
I've been with Steemit for a while now but I had lost a lot of interest in it. DTube, Steepshot, and this, the Steem Gaming Community have all helped to reinvigorate my interest in the platform.
Looking forward to some fun times!
Amazing :) and Congrats to Mr.Spacely for joining @steemgc
