In a sense it's a second chance for games which could sell better on a system which is clearly selling better than the previous iteration. I only feel a bit burned as if you bought the games on the WiiU, you currently have have to pay full price again to get, what is effectively, added DLC but it is also completely portable.
Where 3rd parties are concerned I think it is something that will gain momemtum and the "old" ports really don't bother me much and you have to factor in the portability factor weighed against if you already own them on another platform. I do wish they could push the prices down a touch.
