Surviving in Ark - Quetzal

Recently, I have decided to give Ark another try. So far, I'm very much enjoying myself.

I told you about the horrors we went through after we tried to tame a Quetzal (here if you were wondering). We managed to lose our flyer, got stranded in the jungle and had to fight our way back home.

Well, I also probably already told you I run a private session of Ark, where just my Steam friends can join the game. This game is only up as long as I'm playing (which is very annoying when I crash and the game hasn't saved for half an hour).

We cheated! I'm so sorry! I'm so ashamed! But my boyfriend really wanted his big bird... So I used ForceTame on one. Being an admin of my own game, I can use many codes to make life easier. We never had a Quetzal before, so it was fun finding out what it can do. How fast it can fly, how much it can carry.

We found out you don't really need much stamina, because you can just dismount midair, so it regains stamina and then mount it again. You don't fall off!

It really is a big bird... You can make a special sadle for it which you can actually build stuff on. That was my boyfriend's plan, but then we decided we wanted to switch maps. We both wanted to play the Center map, because it's way more interesting to explore and my boyfriend wanted to see the new continent they made. I also very much want to explore its down world...

I'm happy that we switched maps, because it means we get to start again. I don't have to live with the guilt anymore! I don't really want to use ForceTame anymore, because I like actually working for our progress. For now, the only command I use is saveworld, so we don't lose as much progress, the next time my game crashes. So far, it's going really well. I'll write about our new adventures next time.
