When you buy a new smartphone, you always think what to install. The most significant dilemma is games. What do I want to play? What game is super? Do I know? I end up in Google Play rankings with the best games, and among them, I found The Sims FreePlay.
We all know The Sims, and most of us played it in some form. I don't have such a relationship with them, because I never had a PC version of them as a little one, so I first met them at elementary school when everybody had some new phone with color display. Of course, I had only the black-and-white Nokia 3330, which games didn't work, until the age of 15, although everyone else had a super colorful mobile. My only chance to play something on mobile was that someone lent his cell phone to me. Fortunately, I had a source. She was a classmate with... I think it was Sony Ericsson clamshell. I had the mobile borrowed almost every day. In addition to some platform game and a subway simulator, it had The Sims. I played them the most, and I enjoyed it. Mainly, establishing new relationships.
Then I haven't seen The Sims long enough, and I decided to download The Sims 4 at the first grade of college. And so I did. Well, I didn't like it. Permanently, I had a time accelerator turned on, and it was annoying that they don't like something for eternity. You just didn't know what to do in the game. My gaming romance went bad, so I decided to start a family. I set both parents to be family types or what they called it. And that was the worst mistake of my life. To these parents, I added a pubescent daughter and started to play. I immediately headed to bed for some woohoo because I wanted a baby. And it was successful! She gave birth to... Twins! And again, girls. I caught my head. Then I got ready for another woohoo because I wanted a son. And then she gave birth to... Twins again! And girls again! At that point, I wanted to break the laptop, and it was successful in the final. I accidentally dropped a flower from the shelf, and my HDD broke. Since then, I haven't installed this hell game until now.
Because this mobile version could be similar and fun as the one I played at elementary school, I downloaded The Sims FreePlay. I have to say that except that there you are always waiting for something, the game is quite fun to me and if you don't know what to do, you are just doing quests.
Getting started
As is with most games, in the beginning, you must complete a tutorial. I don't know how about you, but I hate it when the game forces me to spend a precious currency within the tutorial. At first, you have to build a house. It is for free, but it takes x hours to finish it. That time can be skipped by lifestyle points, and so the house is done. Then you add your first Sim.
Creating Sims
It's just a free mobile game, but I've been quite disappointed with the choice of the character's looks. Clothes are pretty cool, and you can find some nice pieces, but about its face and hair, the choice is pretty bad. Creating some ultra sexy beauty is almost impossible. On the other hand, new looks open up with every level so that the sexy beauty will be realizable in the final (maybe).
Moreover, I don't know how about you, but I customized the appearance of the character only with the first two Sims. For others, I just don't enjoy it, because the choice of looks is pretty bad, so I use the randomize Sim function.
Building the city
In addition to building Sims houses, you will become a city mayor that build shops, cultural centers, and job opportunities. Every such building has some requirements like your level, the number of sims needed and of course, the price. At the same time, you can't build multiple buildings at once.
Quests
I think that the best of this game is that you have the quests to accomplish. It will never happen that you don't know what to do, and at the same time, by filling them, you are expanding what you can do. E.g., some buildings need to complete some quests before building them.
Info about your Sims
All the Sims are placed on a fairly clear table so you can see what each of them is doing, what is their relationships and where they work. It also serves as quick access to them. Clicking on his face will take you to a place where he is right now, or you can call him by a whistle. You can also send it to work or home.
Hobbies and work
Your Sims can also do different hobbies. Worse is just finding how to get started. E.g., the cooking hobby has a quest, but fishing not. I didn't know how to catch a fish until I discovered a fishing rod in the park. Problem resolved, but how do you start designing clothes or making carpenters? That's still a secret for me.
As far as work is concerned, new opportunities for its inhabitants are opened during the continuous expansion of the city. You can leave work at any time and start over anywhere else. The reward varies according to the type of work and position, but it still moves at a similar interval.
House improving
There is, of course, a shop where you can buy new equipment for the house. The offer is limited at first, but it is expanding according to how the city is growing and to your level. But I must point out that if you buy a better-furnished house, you won't have to buy anything.
Building relationships
The right Sims mustn't miss dating, childbirth, moving, and so on. In the beginning, you have basic types of interactions that are expanding according to the relationship between the two Sims, but to unlock some romance and wedding or childbirth for the first time you need to complete its quests.
What disappointed me is that whatever interaction between two Sims you want to repeat as long as you want, it always has the desired effect. When I remember playing the Sims in the elementary school, then the individual interactions had a positive effect max three times in a row, then no longer. But in this game, you can be funny 20 times, and its effect doesn't change.
Pay to win game?
Not exactly. You can't win the sims. The only thing to spend money from your piggy bank for is VIP points. It is the only currency that can't be earned by playing, and you can buy with it some better looks, homes, furniture, etc. And basically, you can't run out of game currency, because, in addition to the fact that the sims are going to work and do some money-making activities, you can earn money and get home stuff by watching ads. It's annoying, but I have to admit that some of the ads are really well done and you can play some mini-games within them. Personally, I met this type of ads for the first time.
Summary
The game is quite fun for me, just the waiting for the completion of individual activities is annoying. However it is a game that you play once, twice a day, and then you don't have to worry about it. And with quests, there is always something to do.
And I forgot to mention that when you connect via FB, you can visit the Sims of your friends :)

💙 Thank you for reading! 💙
I like games like this. Maybe I should try this soon. I'll have to delete my games that I don't play now though.
You should. This game occupies about 1 GB in storage :D
On the previous phone, I've always had a problem downloading new games. Gradually, I had nothing more to delete, and there was still no space.
Gee! Can't wait! lol
very nice game
