Dev Diary #31 - BMW 8 series (Alpina B12, 850CSi, 850i) 3D Model for Assetto Corsa

After a long break due to some RL obligations I'm back at it, today with the following updates:

Starting here I separated the door and aligned the geometry to the main body:

Added the door handle and side strips to door and body:

Rear view mirrors got arms and the base triangle:

On to fixing rear lights:

Aligned to rear body shell and modeled the trunk cut outs (still to be separated):

Looks mighty original IMHO.

Here slightly lowered with 18" BBS RC090 rims and the changes:

Next up shifter modeling from a cylinder with cursor sizing to get the oval shape on top:

Used this tilted plane to create the base for the instrument cluster which also houses the air vents center assembly:

Integrated my BC and AC controls, radio still tbd:
