The Fallout 1 & 2 Review

First we will be covering classic Fallout, or Fallout: A post Nuclear Role playing Game

Fallout One was developed by Interplay entertainment and Black isle studios and designed by Christopher taylor. This was based off of wasteland a late 1980s entry that focused on a rpg post apocalyptic genre , the first of its kind. Fallout which came out in 1997 improves immensely on the rpg post apocalyptic genre by adding improved graphics, great cinematics, the 'S.P.E.C.I.A.L' system, a new skills menu, optional traits, and as you level up you can add perks which will add a further layer of customization to your character as you play. However, this is probably one of the more unforgiving games, and has less variety to choose from in terms of world development. In the 90's it would have gotten a 9/10 but in today's age, an 8/10

The next game in the fallout franchise is Fallout 2

Fallout Two was developed by Black isle studios and published by Interplay entertainment. This was based off of the original fallout and was meant to improve upon the original. Released in 1998, a year after fallout was released, it definitely did improve. Fallout 2 is much more forgiving and does not punish the player as often. It's easier to level up and feels a bit more fair. It also has a bigger, more varied world, more items and far more characters and storylines. These are all improvements on fallout and is definitely better than the original, however you only notice this once you get out of the starting temple. That temple sucked, 9/10

If you have played 80s and 90s games before, i recommend both fallout 1 and 2, but if your new to the look of those games, i recommend only fallout 2 as it is a little more forgiving.
