BioShock Infinite's Development Team
BioShock Infinite's main development team was Irrational Games. The company was first founded ion 1997 by three former employees of Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. The company was then acquired by Take-Two Interactive in 2006 that then became one of its Parent Companies Irrational Games was a company that was best known for its BioShock 1 and Bioshock 2 which was perfect for the fans when BioShock Infinite was announced as it meant that the fans knew that the game was in capable hands due to the other two games being huge successes of their own. Irrational Games become Ghost Story Games on February 2017 so that they could have a fresh start. They also reduced the number of employees they had from 90 to 15 and decided to now focus on narrative games.
What is BioShock Infinite?
Irrational Games, the studio that created the big daddies and little sisters, have managed to succeed once again with creating a fantastic city that is beyond reality. Instead of being underwater they created a city within the clouds.
Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret.
My Opinion
For many people, BioShock Infinite is a refreshing taste for the First Person Shooter genre. It does everything you want to revive the stale scene and add something different and interesting to the game. BioShock Infinite is one of the most beautiful games that I have played and has a fantastic wide ranged colour pallet that will leave everyone wanting to just look around the beautiful city and admire the architecture that the city provides. Not only that, but it also has a fantastic storyline that will have you hooked until the closing scenes. The city is mainly themed around the 1910-1920's and has lots of Racism, Sexism, nationalism and religion that you will need to deal with along your travels. Bioshock does not disappoint if you are looking for a beautiful game with a rich storyline that will have you speculating throughout the game. As much as I love the game, I think my most favourite part is before all the gun fire, when you are just exploring the city itself, looking at everything it has to offer including this fantastic barbershop quartet.

Bioshock also has so many different easter eggs hidden within that really add to the game. When you stumble across one, it is fantastic and they can even be hidden in plain sight but might not be noticed on your first playthrough. For example, they managed to sneak girls just want to have fun in to the background of the game, which I didn't notice until I played through for the second time.

I do feel that even though the story is fantastic, around the middle point of the game, it does start to feel a bit stretched out and filler. It just feels as if a lot of the missions didn't actually need to be there, and were added to add some more game time to the game which may not have been needed. I also feel that they could have possibly added a feature that tests your mortality within the game, so that if you do certain things throughout the game, then you will receive a different ending to the game, as there are a few decisions that you can make within the game, but they do not really affect what happens throughout the game. I have never played BioShock Infinite on a Console, but have been told that the console version does suffer due to how demanding it is and therefore does not look as nice and the colours are not as vivid. So, therefore, I would really recommend this game to be played on a PC to get the true beauty and appreciation of the game. But even the story will be enough for me to recommend the game, so it is still worth picking up if you play on a console. All in all, it's a fantastic game and I would recommend it to anyone that loves first-person shooters and want to get a game with a great storyline to go with it.
Have you played BioShock Infinite before? What did you think?
