Steam Game Review Roulette is where I'm going to use a Steam Game Roulette wheel to pick a game from my steam library for me to review. And Today it picked Little Nightmare. So here goes.

Little Nightmares is a Stealth 2D Puzzle Platformer that will have you frightened throughout. You guide a Character in a Raincoat called six throughout an ocean facility, slowly working out the plot and the purpose behind the facility. You will need to avoid the hazards while trying to work out how to escape and advance by solving puzzles and finding the exits. The game lasts around 5 hours but can be extended with lots of searching and exploring the environments more thoroughly, but it does still leave you feeling that it was slightly too brief and short. The scale of the world is fantastic and makes you really feel like a small creature trying to find your way around and avoid all danger.
Little Nightmares is fantastic at linking story elements and puzzle designs together to create a fantastically immersive experience for the player leaving you wanting more from the game. The character design is great. The Giants trying to capture you are freaky and twisted, you really do feel the tension when you see one chasing after you or looking for you.
Little Nightmares to me is the correct way to make a horror game. Instead of constant jump scares, it has a range of different features that will build the tension and make the game more frightening as you play. Knowing that at any minute one of the monsters can find you or hear you is frightening.
The world you are exploring is called the Maw. It is fantastically designed and really makes you feel like you are a tiny character in a huge giants world. It's like exploring a creepy doll house. Some areas are darker than others, making you need to pull out your tiny lighter to light the way for you. You may also need to pull items around the rooms allowing you to climb on top of them and reach new places you couldn't before.
Little Nightmares is a game I think everyone should experience and get the feel for. It has added a new set of DLC that adds a new story mode to the game, increasing the playability and length of the game. (I have not played the DLC yet.)
