The idea is simple, I actually want to know all of the gaming authors here on steemit. Sincerely. Why? Because this is our community. The state of gaming on steemit doesn't just affect me, it affects all of us. Furthermore, unless you've been hiding under a rock it's impossible not to notice that the future of gaming and esports will be closely tied in with blockchain technology. I strongly believe that many of us here on steemit will have a say in the future of the gaming industry -- but not without working together.
I will be taking the time to go through the full list of steemit post each day and comment on post where I actually have something to say about the content. This is something that I will only be doing in the gaming and gamersfollowgamers tags. I invite any gamers on steemit with a community on some other platform to join me in using these tags.
I've seen posts about plagiarism on steemit, and one or 2 comments on gaming posts about their content being ripped. I think the easiest way for us to solve problems like this, are to get to know one another better. You don't diss your boy, and if you do, it's light-hearted. That isn't always the case in these comments here on steemit. It seems either robotic in nature, pure spam, or it's comment from the cleaners. In the words of Lil Wayne, "we need to find middle ground, we need balance." That's not to say that we should accept any forms of plagiarism, but it does mean that we all have different opinions on topics and different ways of handling confrontations. The cleaners won't always be there for you, and honestly, I don't like the idea of totally nulling someone's account because they immitated a popular post. I do think they should be scolded, and the community should know about, but currently there is no solid place to check in for these type of things.
For these reasons and more I have created a channel on the MMG Discord (The largest discord I'm a member of) with a section dedicated to Steemit & Gaming. I invite all of the authors of the gaming community to please join so that we can discuss our individual goals with content and beyond on the platform. I don't want this to be a place that's all about MMG, it's not in the slightest, but this is a house of gamers, and it could use a house of steemit gamers to help educate the rest of our community.
I know many of you out there have Twitch accounts and Moxies, Youtube Channels...dude, dudettes, we're a part of the same cohort. Let's come together.
