Tower defence games are a fun genre. Bringing back memories of pretending to be a turtle in Age of Empires II is always a welcome respite from the harsh reality of warfare.
When you throw in an outrageous fantasy setting with fun graphics, clear progression, and the ability to throw your own hero at the action as well, it gets to be really fun.
Dungeon Defenders is no exception. Powered by the Unreal Engine, this is a third person tower defence game in a timeless, cartoony fantasy world. You set up towers, the hordes of enemies descend, and you must defend a crystal at the heart of your base.
There's loot and equipment you can collect along the way, levels to attain, and lots of other RPG elements along the way.
Upgrade towers, repair, them, or just be a god on the battlefield. Want to make it even more fun? Add some friends and play coop - because you can do that too. Dungeon Defenders is an incredibly competent, stable, and entertaining affair.
My only complaint is that the controls are little bit clunky when targeting foes with ranged weapons (like if you're a wizard-type) - and the interface is a little too busy (there's room for improvement here) - but beyond these flaws, this game is incredibly entertaining - and something that will remain installed on my hard disk for some time to come.
I can only imagine how much fun this would be with others, and some real coordination on who is going to cover which enemy entrance points.
Brilliant, well made and enjoyable game.
Looks great game @holoz0r i realy should try it !!! I always loved playing Td games since warcraft 3 !
Definitely recommend this game!
Sounds like you'll have to try again with other people at some point so you can do a review on what it's like in multiplayer XD
I need friends first :P
You mean you don't do what everyone else seems to do and add random friends of friends of friends? XD
