Hey guys, I'm ggteixeira, and for this post I'll be continuing onto part 3 of my 'Lord of the Craft' Steemit series. For this part of the series, while Reynauld de Croix is back in the duchy of Lorraine representing the royal family in a local tournament, things for the Northern Kingdom of Haense take a darker turn, as a local necromancer lays waste to the town of Alban.

Due to the multiple events taking place within this part of the series, expect the post to be a lot longer and more detailed then usual, I hope you all enjoy.

What is 'Lord of the Craft?'

Lord of the Craft, or LoTC for short, is a Minecraft RP-PvP server where players create a character and join a persistent fantasy world full of hundreds of other players as they play their character out writing their own story with endless possibilities at every turn. I always tend to lean towards making more combat-oriented characters, which lead towards tons of action, conflict, political tension, and war. An example of this is a massive 150v150 player battle I took part in fighting a few months back on the server, and it's just one of many.

7th of The Grand Harvest, 1620.
---------------------------------------------

Once I had gotten back from my mission in Haense, I was given a saint's day leave. I used this time to buy some supplies, explore the capital's outskirts, and talk to the locals. After the day was up, it was right back to it. The village of Ponce was hosting another local tournament, but this time on a grander scale. All types of races and kingdoms were invited to partake in a team-based three verse three tournament to find out who had the best warriors, but more importantly win the prize money of ten thousand coins.

The Duke was in need of coin to fill his coffers, so myself and two other of Lorraine's best fighters were put together to form the team that would represent our Duchy in the tournament. I was excited to fight and represent my country, but worried that'd I let everyone down. I might've been one of the best warriors in Lorraine, but in comparison to the rest of the known world, Lorraine wasn't that big of a place.

---------------------------------------------

Myself and the other two Lothranian knights chosen to represent Lorraine had reached the town of Ponce. It was bustling with people and warriors from all over. As soon as I had entered the arena, I knew I was in for the hardest fights that I'd have yet to ever face. Massive and mighty Orcs were brawling it out warming up for the fights, swift and keen dark elves were seen sparring it out at speeds I had never seen before, even the short but sturdy dwarves were here repeatedly head butting each other over and over again. I was especially surprised to see the stuck-up high elves come to try their hands in the arena.

A silence fell upon the crowds though, as just a few minutes before the tournament began, the infamous Flays had shown eager to take the prize. If the rumors I heard were true, the Flays were the isles best fighters, a group of red-bandana wearing warriors that have repeatedly crushed anyone or thing foolish enough to oppose their villainous ways.

At the tournament's start, a loud horn blew as the announcer stood up greeting the warriors and calling up the first few teams to fight. The Flays and the High Elves were the first to go at it. The High Elves didn't stand a chance. Next up was myself and team Lorraine against team Haense.

The fight was a close one, but luckily, we had come out on top. After us was the Emperor's personal team representing the Orenian Empire against the tribal dark elves of the Warhawk clan. The Orenian knights easily bested the dark elves with ease to everyone surprise, including the Flays. After that, the Orcs against the Daelish. The Daelish got torn apart, literally. An Orc had accidentally cleaved one of the Daelish warrior's arms off by accident with only his sparring blade!

Next were the Sutican legionnaires against the dwarves, who had their grand king personally fighting. The dwarves alongside their king easily took out the Suticans. The first round was over, and the second round had came up. The Oren team was put up against the Orcs, and easily took care of them in a flawless victory. Then was the Dwarves against us, team Lorraine. We fought the good fight and it came down to only one man standing, but that final man wasn't a man, he was a dwarf. The tournament continued on until the final round, where the Flays and Oreners fought, with the Flays as expected coming out victorious. . . But barely.

After the tournament was over, myself and the other two knights prepared and set off back towards Lorraine's capital, Metz, where we would report back to the Duke himself with the news from the tournament.

Whilst I was back in the sunny lands of Lorraine, dark times soon creeped over the snowy lands of Haense. The haenseti town of Alban would soon find itself shrouded by undeath and fire, as an angered necromancer attacked.

The local guard force mustered an acceptable force together and tried to stand their own against the attack, but it would prove unworthy as their ranks soon faltered, broke, then retreated.

Hordes of undead warriors swarmed into the city, killing anything in their sight and setting fire to each of the buildings they passed. Dark times were ahead of Haense, and help was days away. . . If help even knew what was going on.
