Amen to that, buddy. The part about gaming AND the part about reality. There's a lot of truth in what you say about familiarity preventing us from moving forward. Personally, I don't think that everyone should try to innovate. It's ok to have part of the market refining and perfecting concepts that are already there. The problem is, that's all they ever do, except for a few heroes.
Games I keep coming back to...Unreal Tournament? Titan Quest? I think that's it.
I can realate...I did add Overwatch for last 2 years and Black squad to replace CsGO for awhile.
