From the director of 'Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons', comes, "A Way Out" - an upcoming action-adventure game that is being developed by Hazelight and published by EA (...Incoming essential Micro-transactions alert!) lol hopefully not!
Actually, for once, EA is seemingly offering out this game in a fairly generous manner in an effort to get the Co-Op Game ball rolling again.
You only need to purchase ONE copy of A Way Out, and you can send it to whatever friend you want to complete the adventure with you absolutely FREE!
Seems like a pretty good idea to me, and I for one am looking forward to this game, as it is on the Xbox Live Store for pre-order and only costs €29.99! Pretty reasonable compared to most new release games, so im gonna give it a try!
Players play as Leo and Vincent, two convicted prisoners who must break out of prison and stay on the run from authorities!
It is a Co-Op Only game, you can either play split-screen local play with a friend or you can do online Co-Op.
Mr Josef Fares said "A Way Out, came about when a friend and I tried to find a co-op game that wasn’t just a drop-in/drop-out experience. I wanted to play a co-op game with a strong story, where the characters had unique personalities and goals. And that’s exactly what A Way Out is.
This game is co-op only—you can play it online, but to get the full experience and feel, we want you to play it together with a friend on your couch. A Way Out is going to cover a lot of gameplay ground, from action to exploration, from driving to puzzle-solving, and much more.
We’re also looking into how we innovate as we tell the story of these two characters. Players will experience the game’s story as it seamlessly shifts from a full-screen experience into cinematic split-screen formats. Basically, one player can be in a cutscene while the other player has full control."
--With all that in mind A Way Out is definitely going to be in a lot of ways its own genre of game, they are trying to take it back to the more retro days where players experienced games sitting together on a couch with two joypads and long cables crossing the sitting room floor!--
Mr. Fares finishes up with,
"I can’t wait for you to play A Way Out when it releases in early 2018. I guarantee you an emotional journey unlike anything you’ve played before."
It certainly looks like it and i cant wait to test it out!

That's a really interesting set-up. With EA, you really need to worry about those nickels and dimes, though!
