RE: What Keeps You Playing Video Games?

in #gaming7 years ago

It seems like this is a good place to talk about these issues. I red-pill Americans about their toxic food supply even though I am not there anymore. In the last year or two I have finally started to get traction. I'm hoping that re-posting all that content here will make a difference. There is a lot to keep up with, but keeping yourself healthy enough to live another day should be on the top of the list. I'm very hopeful for my time on this platform :)

I definitely agree that this is probably the best place to discuss stuff like this. If you look through my article list you can see I have gone all over the place with my writing and only had one bad experience so far (some guy accusing me of trying to cause the value of Steem to drop for whatever reason).

There is a completely different reaction to stuff here than there is on a site like Facebook or Reddit. People actually engage you in conversation which is great.

Yes, I see that. I was on tsu for some of it's good days. I never made any money, but I made a ton of friends I still have now on multiple platforms. Now a bunch of us are gathered here under tsufamily and we are definitely family.

I won't be posting on the money aspect here. I'm not driven by money and so far, I understand nothing of this steem business. All I hope for the moment is that somehow I will earn some and be able to turn it into Thai Baht so I can pay bills. That will be a bonus but pales in comparison to the chance to actually make contact with people. That happens for me now in fb groups and on Simbi (barter platform). I'm feeling like it might happen here too and so far, so good.

I have been here since September of last year and so far, Steemit has definitely taken over my "Facebook" time. I still frequent Facebook but it is nothing like I used to. I realized I could spend my time there, on Facebook, arguing with people over stupid things, or spend that same time here, on Steemit, discussing topics I care about.

When you are ready to cash out, investigate methods to do so into the currency you are needing. It should not be all that hard.

Thanks, I will definitely do that when I am lucky enough to have a reason to. I don't need to know how this money works yet so I have the blinders on.

I only use groups on fb - I unfollow all my friends and just post in groups about my various causes and issues. I only joined social media at all for my weight loss work and had avoided it until about 2012. Now it sucks time :)

It's so mindless out in the feed, but in the groups people are seeking help usually or offering it so that is where I work. But in the last week, my social media time has been here.

I'm thinking how to promote my posts and Steemit on my other social media now. Some of my accounts are pretty good and have active people on them who just might jump.

That is a good idea. I never thought of unfollowing people and focusing on the grouos where I spend a lot of my, little, Facebook time. I can see how that could save a lot of time from having to sift through tons of pointless status updates that I care nothing about.

lol - I know!!!! This was a breakthrough for me over there. This way you can still be their "friend" but you don't have to see photos of their dog. Most of my fb friends come from groups anyway so I can see what they post in the groups.

I am in close to 700 groups, I think and I have them all bookmarked by type and various other ways. Some only let you promote yourself on certain days for example. Or if I need WordPress help I have all those groups together so I can go in. Etc Etc. I am kind of fanatic when I get into things, so Steemit might take over...

You really need to write these things up in an article offering tips for using Facebook to get stuff done or something. You have some great ideas here.
