As we near closer to the Chicago Pokéfest, legendary Pokémon are getting more and more likely to be announced. Dataminers have already uncovered the legendary egg that will appear on the raid list as well as on the map. Legendary raids will use a unique pass different to normal raids, rumours say that you only get them from completing a lot of normal raids.
Legendary raids have been seen being tested in the past 2 weeks in the San Francisco area as this is where Niantic US offices are located.
A recent discovery in the Indian App Store advertises the special Pikachu that we received on the 6th of July for the 1st anniversary as well as "first legendary Pokémon". This might mean Mew is going to be the first legendary raid or the first legendary is going to be in game. We will just have to wait a bit more for more information.
Pokémon Go has recently announced that players around the world will have to work in collaboration with the trainers at the Chicago event to unlock multiple features for the game. Trainers at Chicago will have to catch Pokémon but trainers around the world can help reach their goal. They haven't said the rewards for these challenges yet but I'm sure they won't disappoint.
Pokémon Go have also announced the arrival of multiple time limited European safari zones that will allow you to catch rare Pokémon that are not native to your area (including regionals).
