I'm currently 15 hours in, and I love it.
Compared to MonsterHunter Generations (previous game on the 3ds), the early monsters seem to have a slighter easier learning curve. But still manage to stay challenging.
(Or it's just that I'm doing better on PS4 than on the 3DS).
The graphics look great, although they are worse than most current AAA titles. But that's probably having to do with the large maps, and the great amount of customization in this game.
The map is no longer split in different sections, you can travel the entire map without being faced with a loading screen. This does have the consequence that you can no longer 'hide' in a different area, to get your health up again.
It's the first time that they have included a 'Story mode'. In the beginning it's basically on large tutorial to teach you the mechanics of the game. Teaching u how to use weapon combinations, mounting monsters and setting traps.
Thank you for that in depth view. You helped my decisions out alot more! Appreciate it. Hows the online aspect in your POV?
