My E3 2017 Recap

First of all, I'm working on my #introduceyourself.

PREMISE: This article will be full of my personal opinions on the games, as a gamer I'm more into competitive games, hack 'n' slash, story reach, souls like, horror, FPS, and JRPGs, but I play everything literally if it looks good. I don't like VR things, except for horror things, it makes me feel sick.

I haven't much to say about Bethesda conference; I liked the fact that they support modding community with creation club, but nothing that they showed excited me particularly. Skyrim VR and Doom VFR are just for marketing, even if I love the original games, and it's ok, I guess. Skyrim trailer for Switch at 20 fps was awful. New Dishonored and Quake Champions haven't particularly attracted my interest, even If I liked the first Dishonored and I tried Quake Champions beta. Wolfenstein 2 trailer said nothing to me but is one of the games I should recover as my last Wolfenstein experience was with 3D, I didn't play New Order, you're right, it's my bad here. The Evil Within 2 trailer was nice, the first one was just a bit above average, nothing special, jump scares and horror parts were ok, but nothing more, so probably I will buy the second one, but I'm not expecting a horror game masterpiece.

Let's start with Mario x Rabbids; the trailer was boring for me, it's not my kind of game, I never liked Rabbids games so maybe this can influence my final decision but is only me or this is XCOM with Rabbids? The best part about this game was the entrance of Miyamoto. Assassin's Creed Origins trailer was beautiful, I'm not sure if I will buy it or not. My last Assassin's Creed game was Brotherhood, I tried Assassin's Creed 3 and Revelations but I didn't like them that much. I love Egyptian things, fighting looks a bit different, the game looks a bit fantasy now and you have a lot of technological gadgets like Ubisoft is trying to mix all his games in one Assassin's Creed. The Crew 2 has a well-made trailer, but for me, it looks like the first one with the difference that here you can ride off-road vehicles and airplanes. The Crew bored me after 7-8 hours, returning to the airplanes, I hate planes and every mission where you need to ride an airplane, in every game, ride them give me a headache. I miss a good racing game, but I think I will not bet on The Crew 2 for being my racing game of the year. About South Park: TFBW there is not that much to say, I loved the first one, and I will buy this for sure, is South Park with superheroes, the trailer and gameplay were very well-made and funny to watch, South Park brand is a guarantee. Transference should be a psycho-horror with a rich storytelling; the trailer didn't say anything for me, I'll wait for more for taking a decision. Skull & Bones trailer is very well-made, I love the theme of pirates, but the gameplay looks dull, and it's not my kind of PVP game because it sounds like a game of ships more than a game of pirates. What can I say about Just Dance 2018? It's a game for being weird at parties and the European reply to k-pop games. South Park: Phone Destroyer has a funny trailer, the game doesn't look bad, I will give it a try, but this type of games in 90% of cases is pay2win, so not my genre of game. Starlink: Battle for Atlas looks like spaceships fight game, there is nothing much to say, same things I said about planes before. The interesting part about this game is that you can pilot starships with an action figure, this could be a bad and good thing at the same time. I'm forced to open a little parenthesis about Far Cry 5 and the brand in general, it's impressive how they turned a terrible franchise into a successful one. I remember *Far Cry 2 and an exclusive one for the first Xbox, they were awful and unplayable for me, but Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 were very excellent, especially for the villain. For this new one, they didn't show much, but looks very realistic but always sick, precisely the kind of game that I love. Yes! Oh my god yes! Beyond Good and Evil 2 announcement make me very happy, I loved the first one, probably I will not watch any gameplay for this game, this is the type of game you need to buy blind and hopes it is at the same level of the first. WE FIGHT IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM!

We start with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy a stand-alone expansion lived in the role of Chloe Frazer, nothing much to say, is always good to see content by Naughty Dog. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is a DLC for the game set on the ice, I love snowy settings, but I still have to play this game, unfortunately. Days Gone is an enjoyable action post-apocalyptic open world survival horror, I liked that there are massive zombie hordes, but I'm not sure if I want to buy it, as gameplay looks quite boring and repetitive after some hours of the game. Wow! Monster Hunter World is one of the best announcements made so far. I spent so many hours playing PSP games when I was young. I have played the various Frontier games in Japanese, and I can't wait to play this, one of my favorite action RPG saga ever. If you are a Dark Soul saga fan, and you never played Monster Hunter you would love this game, If it is at the same levels of previous games. I mean souls like fighting system, very hard, monsters that can destroy you with one hit if they want to, extreme grinding, all factors that I love. Wow again Sony, good job! Shadow of the Colossus, a remake of a game that I loved, a quite high difficulty game if you never played this, It's time to fix it. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the typical Marvel vs. Capcom fighting game with a better graphic, the Marvel roster seemed to me a bit empty and based only on the latest successful movies, but we'll see, for the moment I think I will not buy it. Here we go, it's time for Call of Duty: WW2. Call of Duty: WW was my first Call of Duty game, I loved the multiplayer and the campaign. I've played it on PlayStation and PC, the theme is one of the best of the series, trailer brings me back a lot of good memories, but I will not buy it. In my opinion Call of Duty franchise become a bit too much casual, I mean if you want to play it in a competitive way you need to have a team, and I hate that in 2018 you need to play a FPS based on the host system. I got some significant results in old Call of Duty rankings. If things will change and if the game at the launch will have a good rank system even for "SoloQ" players like me, maybe I could change my mind. As I mentioned at the start VR Games are not for me, I prefer to play console video games on my bed with a joystick. I will probably try the horror game The Inpatient at my friend home, but I will give a 10/10 to Final Fantasy meets Big Ol' Bass for the Final Fantasy: Fishing Simulator experience, very awful. God of War is God of War; there is nothing much to say, it looks fantastic, stunning settings, frantic combat system, and massive bosses, let's hope for the best and in a relatively high difficulty. Detroit Become Human trailer was well done and interesting, some things have reminded me a lot Black Mirror. Although I have not yet been able to figure out what kind of stuff this game is going to be, is a trailer open to many hypotheses, I hope to see something more very soon, they continue to release only trailers. Well hi, my dear Destiny 2, I will not buy you, I'm sure about this. I loved the first one for the first months, I played it so hard for a lot of hours a day, but the decisions made by the developers killed slowly my desire to play, and Destiny 2 is the confirmation. Destiny 2 looks exactly like the first one, some different skills, some different weapons and a new story. It's good the fact that it comes out for PC with 60 fps and an excellent fluidity. But are all things you can add on Destiny, you don't need to make another one, is like if World of Warcraft gets a World of Warcraft 2 instead of a new big DLC. In my opinion, developers took too many bad decisions that made me lose confidence. Wow Spider-Man! Damn if it is well done. There is not much to say, is a Spider-Man game very well done, I would not know what else to say about it, it has my interest.

Fifa 18 is Fifa like every year, there is not much to say, they add something like every year, fun to play with friends but a pay2win suicide if you want to play competitively. Battlefield 1: In The Name of The Tsar is a Battlefield 1 DLC, don't hate me now, but Battlefield is not my type of fps, even if Bad Company 2 have a place in my heart. I'm for wild fast paced high action fps type played on medium or small maps, and Battlefield 1 is a little too dispersive to me, I'm not saying it is bad, is a good game, it's just a matter of tastes. Need For Speed: Payback seems an excellent "racing" game, only to me remembered Burnout Paradise and the hours spent on that one? Upgrade system looks very interesting, and after I've watched the gameplay and the trailer, I wished I could play it right away. A Way Out is impressive for the coop part, but I hate to play in split-screen mode, from what I saw did not make me interested or stimulated in some way to buy it, but I will continue to follow the news, we will see. Super fantastic graphic for Anthem, nice trailer and settings, but it looks like a game without a soul which points everything on the graph factor. I will wait for the release and more information. Certainly, I will not buy it blind. I had no doubt that Star Wars Battlefront 2 would have had a fantastic graphic, they have announced an offline story that is for sure an interesting thing for the brand. I liked a lot the first new Battlefront game, even if I'm not a fan of fps with huge maps, I played it just for the brand. This game was an extremely casual experience, some hours in the evening, but I knew it before I bought it, so probably I will buy the second one too for other funny PVP moments. I don't care about NBA Live 18, I like to watch basketball, but I don't like games about this.

I do not buy a Xbox since 360 that I bought just for the Gears of War limited edition, and I've played like ten titles. Usually, I play on PC or Nintendo and Sony console, and all the games I'm interested in will be multi-platform or with Windows compatibility. Sorry, but is not normal that the new console like the Xbox One X is more reliable than others? I mean it is new. I'd be more surprised if it were less powerful, am I wrong? If we talk about Forza Motorsport 7, in the ten titles I've played there is Forza Horizon, an excellent game that was mixing a relaxing drive with adrenaline races, the only title of the saga I played. About Forza Motorsport 7 I can say that has a very incredible graphic, a vast collection of Lamborghini, the car details look amazing, but for gameplay and features I prefer the new Need For Speed. I don't buy that much racing games for a year so that I will pass on it, but it's for sure a good running game if this is your main genre of games. Wow! I want Metro Exodus now! I love Metro saga, and I'm re-playing Metro 2033: Redux in these days, let's hope this also maintains the narratives of previous chapters. The trailer was spectacular, the only defect was probably the somewhat fake and scripted graphic of the kind that the real game will never be, but we will find out with the upcoming updates. They will bring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, I have nothing much to say about this, battle royale games are not for me, but if I should choose one, this one is the best at the moment. About Deep Rock Galatic I don't know what to say, did not tell me anything, you're in the space, killing spiders, crafting things and take cubes, we'll see in the future, but it doesn't inspire me. State of Decay 2 is a zombie survival horror game. Unfortunately, I didn't play the first one; it looks fresh and exciting, zombie and bosses in the third person, after the trailer, I had an irrational desire to play it, I hope I can play the first one before the release. The Darwin Project is a battle royale game with a cartoon graphic, there is not much to say, characters customization looks decent, I didn't like the gameplay at all, was awful, I will skip this. Oh, nice! Minecraft 4K kill me now, please! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! I want Dragonball Fighter Z now. I played most Dragonball games, starting from NES to most recent games, even the Japanese games, is one of the anime with whom I grew up, I just love it. Who remembers Dragon Ball Z - Gekitou Tenkaichi Budou Kai? Tournaments with friends on ps2 with Budokai? And Budokai Tenkaichi when friends came up with the preview game downloaded in Japanese? Ultimate Battle 22? What about Final Bout? That was terrible, but you were still playing it a lot as a child, and what about extremely hard JRPGs on Game Boy? Game after game always seemed something new and fantastic, but this is the final Dragonball game, probably it will be my main competitive game, and I will spend a lot of time there, fantastic graphic, fighting mechanics and gameplay, I want it now. Black Desert Online is the only MMORPG I'm playing since launch on PC, it's a grind fest, but it gives enormous satisfaction. I love this, it's the most Sandbox game of this type I've seen, you should like to grind, or you will get tired easily. I'm not a fan of MMORPGs on a console, but if you don't have a PC, this is the right time for start to play it. The Last Night is a pixel game with colors and design that are a pleasure for the eyes, really nice, we know nothing about the story, but if it has a rich storyline too will be a great game to play. The Artful Escape also know as when you don't wonder if you want to be an astronaut or a guitarist. In all seriousness, the trailer was kind of interesting as far as we can understand because I didn't understand what kind of game it could be, I will wait for more news. I was following news about Code Vein since the start of their Japanese Twitter account; character design drives me crazy, it's a "souls like" with a horror anime style, I can't wait for play this. Sea of Thieves is a Pirates game with a cartoon graphic, I love the theme, but I don't like the combat system and the type of graphics they chose, with a realistic visual and a dynamic combat I would have loved it, probably. I found it very annoying; the only good thing is that you can shoot yourself from ships and fly on other ship. Tacoma didn't say anything to me. Super Lucky's Tale was terrible, and it looks effortless, probably, a game for little gamers. Cuphead reminds me of old Disney cartoons with this graphic style; it looks fascinating and hard to finish, it will be a great challenge. If we keep talking about games I played on Xbox 360, Crackdown 1 & 2 are on the list, they were full of bugs but pretty funnies, If Crackdown 3 will save only the best parts of the brand, it will be an excellent game, probably. The trailer with Terry Crews was hilarious and the gameplay looks promising. I will wait for more gameplay news for taking my final decision. Ashen is another game with a cartoon graphic, the trailer didn't say anything to me, but at least this one was a bit interesting, let's wait for more news. There is not much to say about Life is Strange Before the Storm, I loved Life is Strange and these are three prequel episodes, I can't wait for play this. What about Middle-Earth: Shadow of War? The trailer was good; I liked Shadow of Mordor, I expect a great game this time too. Ori: And The will of The Wisps is the game with one of the best artwork I have seen, the first chapter was beautiful and a pleasure to play, I will wait for more news. Let's put your hands up for the Original Xbox Compatibility. Maybe I'm the strange one, but I don't understand why people can't live without retro compatibility, is a great feature for sure. Talking about PS4, I prefer to buy a PS1/PS2 game with trophies in the store or a remastered than playing my original one and If I want to play PS3 games I just switch to this console. I can understand that If you have only the Xbox One, this is a perfect feature for you, for sure. So, you announce a thing like this with Crimson Skies trailer? What the hell is Crimson Skies? I heard this game for the first time today, and I saw that it was a famous game about planes. What about titles like Ninja Gaiden, Otogi, Otogi Z, Shenmue 2, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jade Empire? And the list could continue, I don't understand why with all these masterpieces, you have chosen a mediocre game of airplanes, maybe are my tastes wrong?

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a great JRPG game, I enjoyed the saga, I saw a considerable improvement on the visual part, if the older ones were a mix between anime and realistic graphic, this new chapter looks totally like anime, I can't wait for play it. New Kirby game is ok, nothing special, it can be something fun, I'm not a big fan of Kirby games. Pokkén Tournament DX is the fighting game about Pokémon, I love the saga, it's one of my favorite brands, but I didn't play the first one, and I'm not that tempted about this. I'm happy about Metroid Prime 4, but they haven't generated any hype. It was just an announcement, so that will come out in 2020, probably. Yoshi seemed to me too childish and annoying. I will get bored after 2 minutes of play, probably. What about Core RPG Pokémon Title? They didn't say anything about it, I hope for something like Pokémon Colosseum, It would be perfect. Fire Emblem Warriors is a Musou game based on Fire Emblem, for the less experienced, is a game like Dynasty Warriors. The last game of this type I played was Dragon Quest: Heroes, these kinds of games tend to be fun but also extremely repetitive, I liked the Dragon Quest one, so I hope for this game too because I love the brand. Skyrim for Switch run at 20 fps, but you can wear Link suit. Super Mario Odyssey trailer was hilarious, it looks interesting and pretty enjoyable. I could go back to playing this after years of pause; my last Mario game was Super Mario Galaxy 2.
