As you know everybody hates micro-transactions and EA has decided with the failure that Star Wars Battlefront 2 was that they will put micro-transactions back into the game due to low sales figures. This has obviously enraged the gaming community once again with the youtube "Boogie2988" having this to say about it.
As boogie stated the game sold 9 million copies and if you can't get 9 million copies to be a profit than do you really need to be making games? I am a video game design major so i know a little how the prices work for every $60 game the studio will make about $40 so lets do the math.
40 X 9,000,000 = 360,000,000
They made roughly 360,000,000 and star wars battlefront 2 only had a production cost of $45,000,000 so they made a huge profit. The problem isn't the game once again the problem is EA.
EA is a money hungry corporation that cares very little about it's users and very much about it's stock holders. Consumers should come first not John Smith who owns 0ne share of EA(currently valued at 126.46 USD). In the long term EA will make more money pumping out quality products over non quality business moves.
Here is a video of Cruzando talking more in depth about it on DTUBE!
