It displays a grid on the map which makes spotting holes between buildings and the first wall piece an easy task.
Sometimes it is difficult to target specific trees with your workers due to the fact that they are pretty huge.
"Ozhara's Default Pussywood Pack" shrinks them to acceptable sizes:
