RE: Star Citizen, The Biggest Crowdfunded Project in History - Gamescom 2017 + Extra Information

in #gaming7 years ago

This game in full implementation would be incredible. I have it and play it from time to time. an 8000 level amd processor and 1060 OC-1080ti can handle it. (its what I use) I sometimes use my 1060 6GB at 110% power or so.

I do have a suspicion that the game will never actually be done and they'll just keep shilling with ads and marketing to maintain the jobs they are now dependent on lol. I felt a little mislead at my time of purchase with regards to what was available in-game.

I love the depth of controls, the maneuverability in space, and the key logging. I really wanted a realistic space/atmospheric flight sim, and I got extra with ExtraVehicularActivities.

I think one shitty/humorous aspect of destroying your ship in Star Citizen is that you can pay the in-game insurance company to get your ship faster hahaha I play games to escape that real life stuff, but still it tickles me so, lol.

Lastly, I think it is really cool to compare the two philosophical extremes of the imperialistic, pay-for-content Star Citizen vs. the Pay-once (for the game), the universe is owned by everyone and no one, freedom/liberty oriented No Man's Sky.

Now with new updates, and surely more to come, No Man's Sky is a really chill game with low consequences.
