Cass attempts to play... Action Biker on the Commodore 64

in #gaming7 years ago

Hi,

Is this the first (and only?) computer game/crisps (potato chips) licensing tie-up deal in history? Possibly as the hero of this game, Clumsy Colin, is the character once used in the ad campaigns for KP Skips crisps!

Yes, it's the one and only Action Biker (by Mastertronic). Thrill as I manage (just) to play this through to completion (and marvel at my cack-handed attempts to negotiate the girders in the construction site):

It's actually quite a lot of game considering it only cost £1.99 at the time! (The more eagle-eyed observers among you will notice that the game involves collecting parts for your bike so that you are able to enter the race at the end - absolutely nothing to do with snacks whatsoever).

As always, I didn't activate the cheats - I'm going to try to do these playthroughs without any artificial help...

Please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments for other games for me to play on the C64 (or indeed the Vic-20 or C16/Plus4)

Enjoy the video!
