My first post about Splinterlands

I have been playing Splinterlands for just over a month now I guess and I've got to say I'm pretty hooked. It seems to me that if Hive is going to have a killer app, then things like Splinterlands are a pretty good bet. I'll confess to not being super competitive and a bit lackadaisical about it, but I have fun. It is cool just chilling out in the bronze tier for now, learning the ropes, getting some experience and DEC so that I can eventually get more cards.

I'm not going to really get into strategies just yet, but I will say that I tend to prefer the Earth Splinter with Life and Death a pretty equal split behind. I'm not much of a water splinter fan, but that is just me and I may warm up to it. Being a role playing gamer IRL, I gotta say I never really caught on to the collectible card game craze like Magic the Gathering (which is a very close real world analogue to Splinterlands), but I can see the appeal. And hey, having digital card NFTs does make sense to me.

I expect a fair amount of you already are familiar with the game, but for those who haven't checked it out and are looking for a game you can play without having to invest a lot of time in at any single session, I'd highly recommend it.
