On July 28th Finalmouse released what they claim will be their last mouse, the Cape Town Ultralight 2. 60,000 units were made, and all sold out within 30 seconds of releasing at $120 each.

Finalmouse is a controversial company in the gaming community. They have been called out for their over the top Twitter posts and poor QC on previous releases, and the short supply of each release which leads to resellers using bots to purchase high quantities of them to resell for a profit on eBay.
Their use of Shopify led to multiple purchases of 10+ being made, despite claiming the purchase limit was 2 per person.

Reddit's largest mouse community /r/MouseReview has had a mostly negative opinion of it.
They consider it overpriced and are disappointed about the "Infinityskins", which are being compared to the Lizard Skins sports grip tape commonly used by enthusiasts.
They recommend the Glorious Model O instead, an affordable lightweight mouse made based on the demand for an alternative to the Finalmouse lineup. Cooler Master is making their take on the 'honeycomb' mouse as well, called the MM710, another alternative to consider.
