After 6 Months of Development, we're finally ready for Steam Greenlight!

in #gaming8 years ago (edited)

Developing a game is not easy, especially if you only got a team of 13. We wanted to make a game that looks great and plays well - and to do so meant we had to put extra time in and spend a few nights every month in the office. We're finally at the stage that we can start showing the game to the world, via Steam Greenlight.

Getting ready for the launch

The day before the launch, Our artist was worried that the game didn't look good enough - our map was lacking props and distinctive landmarks and color variation wasn't perfect. Our animator didn't like how certain monsters didn't block attacks perfectly. But every game can be infinitly polished - we needed to put the game on Greenlight and get it ready for launch. We uploaded our video and trailer for Hell Warders and got the other preparations under way.

We pressed the button this morning and the game, Hell Warders, is officially launched on Greenlight. Steam players will now have the option to vote on whether they want to see the game on Steam. The sneaky thing is that Steam doesnt' tell you now many votes are needed, and we can't pass the game without passing Greenlight.

We hope the STEEM community can support us and check out Hell Warders http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=888191870 and vote for us!
