I first saw this game a few months back when it was announced at Microsoft's E3 conference, and if you are a gamer you have probably already heard about this. Those of you who have not, well this is one of those games you're really going to want to get your hands on.

Anthem is an open world, role-playing game, set in what looks like to be some kind of a dystopian future or even another planet very much resembling earth. Players take on the role of a Freelancer, a kind of paid mercenary who has to defeat the forces of evil, who are plotting to destroy humanity. Luckily this is in the future and here it seems to be all about the tech, which comes in the form of exosuits called Javelins. These armoured suits have a very familiar feel to them, hell, you're pretty much Tony Stark. The Javelins are fully customisable and have various unique weapons and superhuman abilities, the best part about it - you can fly!😁

The game features both single-player and co-op multiplayer mode, which means you and three friends can team up in squads for missions or just go exploring together. You can also join other teams for the harder quests or boss fights if you're more of the lone gamer type. The harder the mission, the better the rewards. Throughout the adventure, players will earn rewards in the form of gear or resources to craft their own upgrades for their Javelin suits.

The above video gameplay gives you an amazing sense of the size of this open world. The environment is visually stunning, and I was astounded by the amazing weather created in the gameplay. Expect this to push the limits of console GPU's.

Anthem is brought to you by the lovely folks at BioWare, who developed Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as the recent Mass Effect: Andromeda game. This title will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

Lastly - and this is on the down side, and I feel so terrible for getting you all excited - the game is only set for launch at the end of the 3rd quarter next year, I'M SORRY, OKAY!! Just think about how cheap this game is going to be because you've made so much money from crypto. 😂😂😂

Thanks guy!

It's not an review, it's a preview. Game is not out now. It's in development.

I can't wait for this!!

Haha thanks bro, great gif btw

I remember seeing this a little while ago.
This looks like a game you could play for hours and hours and keep on enjoying. Looking forward to a hopefully really well done game that exceeds expectations!

Say goodbye to to world when this comes out lol

I will be saying that when I finish my course in a week. :)

Haha same here when the holiday season hits

This game looks fantastic. I'm hesitant to jump on the bandwagon though. The last few BIG game releases were quite lackluster. It seems as much as they want players to play together, they make it quite tough to do so. I had too many connectivity issues with Destiny 2. The same problem happened with Wildlands. The only game I've been impressed with at all was Assassins Creed Origins, and even that game is more single player focused. The original Destiny was poised to be an amazing work, with expansive lore and backstories. But they shelved ALL the lore, within the shoddily done Grimoire Card system. I could see the same happening with this game, pre-release.

From the developers of Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, i am pretty much excited and looking forward to this game. I need some breath of fresh air outside Warframe and Destiny.

I need a new Anthem. ;)

Super excited myself, jut that wait i too long

Try Assasins Creed Origins. It's fantastic. Such a breath of fresh air after the disappointment that was D2.

Thanks definitely will, that's on my list I sent to Santa

wow this is really amazing, Yes I agree it is like an iron man suit. while reading it and watching the video I am thinking if this can be played using a VR . I also imagine about the type of Sword art online game in the future a full dive into virtual reality like you are living inside the game. this game would be awesome to play it on a virtual reality mode.

look for @ adsactly

unique post because the bottom line is a steemit logo, a brilliant idea...

@adsactly can you please explain me why do you publish posts under someone else's authorship? I'm just trying to understand what's the point? This is similar to the scheme used by @gavvet year ago (when he sent SBD to the authors and left SP to himself)?

Can we operate this game in tablate??

Great breakdown on Anthem!
I'm really hoping this ends up with the success Destiny's had.
But I can't help but wonder if EA should be the publisher behind it.
After everything that's happened with Battlefront 2, I hop they give Bioware free reign over the game's systems, instead of bogging it down with microtransactions.

And I really hope that the game ends up actually looking like the trailer they showed. There have been too many times where we've been burned by games that look nothing like the "gameplay reveal" trailers shown years before the actual launch. (Lookin' at you Watch Dogs and The Division)

Destiny was also super disappointing, as far as the lore and storylines went. They had grandiose ideas and plans for it, but scrapped most of them right before they released the game, and settled for the Grimoire Card system, which was roughshod at BEST. And they didn't expand on the downfalls of 1, when they released 2, at ALL. The game surely is ambitious, but how many of those features will genuinely come to fruition, is a crapshoot. I'm hopeful that Anthem will even come close to as fantastic as Assassins Creed Origins is.

I dunno. I love Destiny and its approach to lore. If you really dive into it, there are some amazing stories that tie together to give the game this grand sense of history. I agree the way it was implemented wasn't the best, but the stories that are there are fantastic.

I'd highly recommend looking up the story of The Ishtar Collective. A group of scientists who first encountered the Vex, and found themselves stuck inside a perfect simulation. Really interesting read.

I've done some delving into the Destiny lore, after seeing a few articles about how much of it was "hidden". I agree, the lore itself was beautiful, but having to collect Grimoire Cards to even get a small view of it was lame. The fact that you basically had to hunt for the lore was lost on me, and basically any casual gamers. Then, came D2, which was a shell of D1, minus Grimoire Cards and anything resembling legends and lore. Don't get me wrong, the game itself was beautiful, but for people looking forward to Destiny 2 as much as the diehard fans of D1, it was a disappointment. The repetition and lack of abundance of quests and new stuff to do, lost my interest quickly. As soon as I got my 3 classes up to 300 power, it became repetitive, and I lost interest. Couple that with Assassins Creed Origins being released, and I've completely abandoned D2. You saw major improvements and advancements from Titanfall 1, to 2. I was expecting D2 to be the same way. They took something amazing, and improved it in almost every aspect with TF2.

Looks like Titanfall without titans!

Looks like a mix of Destiny and Andromeda. Titanfall was a wonderful game, so I'd consider this comment a positive lol

This was meant to be positive actually

I was in no way taking it as a negative lol. Titanfall was a fantastic game, and influenced a lot of other FPS to change dynamics and try something new (albeit some of them failing miserably. CoD Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare are some prime examples). I'm just hoping a game as ambitious as this one can keep all these proponents together, to give us a stellar product, instead of omitting a few of the pre-release. Seems like I've been disappointed in more games than I've been happy with, lately.

I feel ya. The new AAA games I’m not digging but pubg, Fortnite, etc. are awesome if you can ignore bad optimization and graphics.

I've considered checking out Fortnight. I'll have to watch some videos on it, and go from there. I still have to download Warframe, and Fallout 4 lol. Between those, ACO, and the Xcom 2 DLC, I've got my hands full. I also downloaded Witcher 3, but have yet to play it. So.many.games lol

Id recommend Witcher next. Personally I liked it way better than Fallout 4, and Warframe goes forever!

muzakirpb upvote, posting is perfect

Is Requirement released?

The game looks very promising, but after what EA did with Battlefront 2 (basically making a game around lootboxes) I am a little worried for Anthem.

I mean it looks amazing, but there is a high chance that lootboxes will be in it and again take a central role in the game.

It is one of the cool game i've ever seen.

Looks amazing. My comp is too slow for it ...

Nice review
