Isometric maps for world building.

This is me just playing around with some ideas for a one-shot, or something to start a campaign with a moral question since the situation calls for a sacrifice.

The story is to have your players visit an old temple with some secrets, where and NPC or a prepared player knows that a sacrifice must happen in its pit, if it doesn't happen, just this truth is revealed, the only encounter comes with taking information from the fake throne and the sarcophagus area, and the altar is left just checked without any treasure or information revealed. If by any chance there is a death in the "acid pit", new encounters happen in the altar area and the remaining players gain a trinket that helps them gain acid resistance or poison resistance. It's just a one-shot and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it. I'm gonna try this myself.

The feel and visual aid we get from an isometric map in my opinion change a lot how we perform our gaming experiences. True, they don't have to be visual, is enough with a theater of the mind, still, working with a visual aid does improve one's concept and at least to me, it provides a clear idea of what's going on, thanks for watching.
