The World of Warcraft Virtual Currency is now worth more than the Bolivar of Venezuela

Understanding how the economy works in Venezuela is not an easy task for someone who has not lived there, or in other words, who has suffered it in the flesh. In the country there is a foreign exchange control that prohibits anyone from having access to a foreign currency (dollars or euros) without requesting a permit from the government, making a procedure through the state banks.

This has generated two exchange rates in the country: the official change (according to the government) and the parallel change (or black market). For the vast majority of people, the second is the only relevant one. And at the time of writing, a US dollar has a price of 12,197.74 Bolívares.

At the time of publishing this message, the US dollar was valued at 8493.97 ** Bolivares **. In just about 15 days the difference has been accentuated much more.

The calculation has been made by comparing how much it costs to buy each coin. Each dollar equals 12197.74Bolívares, while each real dollar equals some 8,385 pieces of virtual WoW gold.

Unfortunately, with the problems that happen in this beautiful tropical country, the currency will continue to depreciate day by day. Meanwhile, Venezuela will remain a country in which filling a car's gas tank costs 2 cents, but buying that same car can cost dozens of thousand dollars.

According to a #Twitter user, a fan of ** World of Warcraft **, this means that the gold of the game (virtual currency) is worth more than ** Bolívar **. Much more.
