So i have not been logging into steemit much in the past 3 months, anyway i saw this new feature called communities and it peaked my interest. So i made some groups for hobby people and gamers. Noticing the Hive web address while on steemit. Now i find this Hive site which looks the same for the most part. Noticed my wallet had different values then my steem wallet had. But searched has always sucked so bad that i thought i would just ask and get more direct info from the users. Here are my questions.
Why? and what happened? I caught wind of some Bad Owner of steemit now, but i have no idea if its true.
Do you get anything for creating a community?
Will there be more new changes on the hive platform? Search was my biggest grip, i always thought it should be more like bitchute or youtube.

Simply put, Steem was centralized, which was openly confirmed by TRON representatives. The old Top20 Witnesses have for this reason forked the Blockchain. Since 20.03.2020 Steem and Hive are different blockchains, before that they were the same.
