I made up a new Lego game!
Game Rules
- Put a bunch of Lego pieces into a sack. Take any people apart before putting them in.
- One player counts aloud as another player chooses a piece without looking. (I like to give 3-5 seconds, but it depends on how big your selection is and how weird you want your final products to be.)
- Each player keeps taking out a piece in turn until all the players have an equal number of pieces. 10 is a good amount.
- Now, each player must use all of their pieces to build something.
Notes
If you want to make it more challenging, impose a theme or time limit on building. You can also have the players choose one another's pieces instead of their own.
It's fun seeing how worked up people get about not having enough time to find what they wanted, or when they see they got a piece they hate or love.
The neat thing about this game is that you can take a sack of pieces with you to a bar or cafe for lighthearted play similar to Speed Scrabble.
Try it!
Unfortunately, the result is subjective and the "winner" can't be easily determined by two players alone.
Our first attempt at this game came out as follows, but who is the winner here?!
