2018 Asian Games Parade in Jakarta and Palembang Held Tomorrow

Jakarta - Jakarta and Palembang will hold the 2018 Asian Games parade simultaneously. One action to echo the Asian Games.

The Asian Games parade will take place on Sunday (13/5/2018) at Car Free Day (CFD) at Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin and followed by five thousand participants. They come from sports communities, fashion schools, dance communities, bikes, roller skates, skateboards, and decorative carts, to marching bands and color guards. Also Jember Fashion Carnival performances led by Dynand Fariz.

Interestingly, the organizing committee provides awards for the winners of several categories. Namely, from the categories of costumes, concepts, and interpretations of Asian Games 2018 theme, Asian Energy, the best.

"The purpose of this parade is to boost the spirit and participation of the public in welcoming the 2018 Asian Games grand event held in Jakarta and Palembang," Erick Thohir, chairman of the Asian Games 2018, said in a release received detikSport.

"With this parade we hope that the people of Jakarta can participate and enjoy the variety of attractions that are presented," he added.

Interestingly, this parade will also be held at the same time in Palembang, which is also hosting the Asian Games.

The 2018 Asian Games Parade in the Capital will start from the Monas garden area, turning in front of the Sarinah Building and the parade will end the parade in front of the office of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo).

During the parade, entertainment from DJ Nikki Frazetta and Stand-Up Comedy will be presented.
