Chess helps you be a better developed person and this can help in relationships and at work or in Business. Personally i play one move per 14 days so i have weeks to consider my choices. So why not do your mind a favor and go have a game of chess; there are heaps of free sites out there, enjoy ;)
14 days per move sounds very long. I guess you play more than one game at once? I prefer real-time games, like on lichess.org. Try one of the variants as well, I really like Atomic.
i run tournaments with only 8 players, this allows thr top 3 a chance to win a trophy for their avatar online acct.
I travel a lot so 14 days allows me max time to make moves and avoid time out loses, these long time move limits are well attended, but can run two or three years...
I prefer Go :)
