Due to recent downvotes we decided to stop the Reblog Lottery on Hive for the time being (we got some ideas / workarounds though).
Hive has become very centralized and lies in the hands of oppressors. A few accounts that hold most Hive Power (whales) dictate everything. For example: the last Lottery Post has 62 upvotes and two partial downvotes; zero payout.
The good news: we found a new home on blurt (Which is essentially the same, but without downvotes).
We truly believe that the Hive ecosystem has no future if the current course is kept.
We got a fund which we will use to onboard anybody (create free accounts) who wants to transition to blurt.
If you would like to get a free blurt account, simply leave the desired username and your desired way of getting new blurt keys (mail address, discord username, reddit username).

That's kinda sad but was expected because so many lotteries had trouble with downvotes recently.
The whole Hive thing is sad - this chain became more centralized than Twitter :P
It doesn't really matter though - blurt is perfectly fine / an improvement overall. Plus, we got an idea on how to keep the show going here aswell (will take a few weeks until we have sorted everything out - stay tuned).

We have our own (ban)list, yet after 50+ lottery posts more and more bots and bad actors managed to sneak past our detection. Since we don't make big money, it just wasn't feasible for our team to do the ban thing ourself, so they decided that we partner up with banlist.
I totally agree that this system is not perfect. Yet by associating votes and whatnot it got considerably better (not really sure how it gets handled - I'm just the social media / response girl 😜).
I'll ask banlist kindly to remove you from the list (no guranatee 😅). That's about as much as I can do, I'm sorry. (By the way, the !banreason command doesn't seem to work here. I assume it's for the banlist account)
It is what it is, no hard feelings towards you or the team in general, automatic handling of stuff like that is preferred, though not always as accurate as we would like.
I'm hoping to get unbanned. And probably meet you on blurt too, if you handle that too 😃
