Death stranding

The new project of Hideo Kojima went to light in the 2016 E3, with a mysterious trailer. Sincerely, I don’t like it, the genre and the story of the game is not in the video. It would be better for publicizing a graphic motor, but that’s not the case.

It begins with some textual quotation from William Blake, then some music, black sand and a dead crabs, while the camera moves up. Next, some footprints appear in the floor following the camera, till a naked guy takes the scene, and he seems connected to a baby (the footprints get to the baby). He wakes up, take that baby in his hand, and cry, when the infant disappears and transforms into a mud, and the muddy marks of his hand are in his legs.

This is what I understand: there is a man alone and that baby is very important. Something unknown thing is chasing them, and they are in a world more magical or technological than ours. That’s it. This could be an amnesia with magic, or something like a darker Bioshock, the trailer doesn’t specifies anything of the game nor the gameplay. The best thing that it has is Kojima, and he is not part of the video (Although, I think that he can make this, whatever it is, good). This is not how you make a trailer, the next one of the same game is better.

You can understand a little better the world that they are creating, the feeling of the man being chased and his conection to the baby. Nonetheless, it is just good. Go see the trailers of: Nier:Automata, DOOM, The witcher 3 or Metal Gear Solid 5. They are way batter, the plot can be seen, the gameplay is there and they finish with a BOOM.

But, we don't have more trailers about it right now, and I hope, because we are talking about a game from Kojima productions, that we get some more information about it soon, and that this project will be good. It's a shame we didn't get anything in this E3.
