After iPhone X, its time for Samsung to enter the foray with something out of the box.

Remember back in 2009 Samsung showed off its foldable OLED display. Yes, you guessed it right, Samsung is contemplating to bring a "Folding phone" duped as Galaxy X as part of their next flagship release. So instead of improving upon their existing smart phones, Samsung have big plans to totally change the design language with their upcoming Galaxy flagship.

Samsung's mobile division president Koh Dong-jin indicated in an interview with Bloomberg that they are already progressing in developing a folding phone and launch the product in 2018. It is said that Galaxy X has already passed Bluetooth certification and subsequently radio certification, the steps new smartphones take before they go on sale.

If this product is released, it will set a cat among pigeons for rest of the smart phone manufacturers. Since Samsung has already achieved the bezel-less display way before than Apple, it's for them to make that bezel-less OLED display and make it fold.

Whereas Apple’s headline act was its “bezel-less” display, the reality is Samsung has already been there and done that. Thanks to its notch, the incoming iPhone X has a screen-to-body ratio of 82.9% while the Galaxy S8 (83.6%) and Galaxy S8 Plus (84%) already beat that in March. If Galaxy X dazzles as Samsung expects, the price will not be a deciding factor for many.
