RE: Liberland: The Country Of The Future That Exists Today

in #future6 years ago

Well, here are the highlights. Last year liberland received 200,000 applications for citizenship and accepted 30.

There have been quite a few arrests for illegal border crossings even though the land is uncontested.

It might actually be the beginning of a cult around the president and founder lol

Really interesting concept though. And if it were able to function without constraints from the governments of the world it might one day become an example of how communities could be formed everywhere.

The steemit handle "liberland" is taken.

Thanks for turning me on to this though, it's super interesting and I am genuinely curious to see what happens.

lol thanks for doing some research, definitely did not see that when I was first learning about the space

Heck yeah man! It's a fucking cool idea anyway and who knows what the future holds. I'm convinced starting a country probably isn't as easy as it sounds hahaha
